Mrs. Margie "Tad Pole" Overby, age 64, of Dalton, Georgia, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 21, 2013 at the local hospital. Margie was born May 16, 1949 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late George Overby Sr. and Goldie Brewer Overby. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jody Shutley, brother, George Overby Jr., sisters, Lynda Evans, Pat Patterson, Maude Nations.

She is survived by her son, Mike Mock of Dalton, GA; daughter, Lafonda Shutley, Tonya Bias of Chatsworth, GA, Tina Price of Dothan, AL; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Margie "Tad Pole" Overby will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday.
