Mrs. Margie Massingill, age 70, of Dalton, GA, departed this life, Tuesday May 9, 2017 at the local hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 23, 1946 in Dalton Georgia a daughter to the late Hugh and Artie Mae Quarles Parker. Margie loved to collect bird houses, trinkets and loved her dogs. She was a member of the 11th Avenue Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of almost 51 years ( this Saturday is their anniversary) Clay Massingill of the residence, daughters; Pamela Renea massingill and Regenea Lee Massingill both of Dalton, Georgia. She is also is survived by a sister Shirley Parker Moss of Dalton, Georgia.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Margie Massingill will be held Monday May 15, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey and Brother George Cross officiating. She will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday May 14, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 7:00pm.
