Mrs. Margariette T. King, age 96, of Chatsworth, GA, departed this life, Saturday April 6, 2019 at the local hospital.  Margariette was born March 7, 1923 in Whitfield County, Georgia, a daughter of the late, George and Pearl McElhaney Tuder.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Robert Earl King, her daughter and sons-in-law, Lyndia and Paul Hollingsworth and Phillip Brackett and brothers, Ralph Tuder and Charles Tuder.

Margariette was retired from West Point Pepperell and was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Brackett of Acworth, GA; son and daughter-in-law, David and Diane King of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Stephannie and Joel Corn, Tiffannie King, Michael and Kari King, J.E. and Janice King, Brittney Brackett, Cody Hannah, Owen Hannah and Sheridyn Smith; great-grandchildren, Brennan Corn, Sawyer Corn, Ty Corn, Adalee Corn, Kinley King, Avyn King, Wryn King and a great-granddaughter due in August; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Margariette T. King will be held Saturday morning, April 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Travis Martin and Reverend Randy Postell officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the Dawnville Cemetery with Michael King, J.E. King, Joel Corn, Brennan Corn, Cody Hannah and Owen Hannah serving as pallbearers.  Sawyer Corn and Ty Corn will serve as honorary pallbearers.  The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning until the service hour.
