Mrs. Margaret Cope Allen, age 78, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, April 3, 2021, at her residence. She was born November 25, 1942 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late William Henry and Thelma Jackson Cope. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Winston Allen, brother, Jimmy Cope.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Ted Allen of Tennga, GA, Tim and Nancy Allen of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Chad Allen of Tennga, GA, Cody Allen of Chattanooga, TN, Haley Allen of Dalton, GA, great grandchildren, Adrian, Sylas, Max; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Cline and Russell Chapman, Sharon and Gary Fowler of Dalton, GA; sister-in-law, Amelia Cope of Chatsworth, GA; special nieces, Jill Harrison, Jenny Womac, special great nieces, Hannah Fowler, Charlotte Harrison, Kyleigh Womac; special great nephews, Tyler McKee, Taylor McKee, Brayden Harrison, Koby Womac, Kamden Womac; aunts and uncle, Barbara Jackson of Chatsworth, GA, Maxine Bryson of Nickelsville, GA, Alma Long of Cedartown, GA, Eugene and Andree Cope of Huntsville, AL.

Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Margaret Cope Allen will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. from the Dawn Rest Cemetery with Reverend David Eaton officiating.

Due to the national health crisis and the COVID-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
