Mr. Mardis Teems, age 41 of Marietta, Ga., departed this life Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born January 30, 1977 in Whitfield County, GA. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jammion Teems.

He is survived by his children, Brynley Teems, Denver Teems, Curry Teems, and Jax Teems, all of Rome, GA; his parents, Hugh and Deborah Teems of Canton, GA; grandmother, Betty Cassell of Calhoun, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Dammion and Jenna Teems of Canton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Herbie Perkins of Woodstock, GA; special nieces and other family and friends.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Mardis Teems will be held Sunday February 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with David Burris and Pastor Jared Pickard officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with Shane Russell, Chris Wilson, Ethan Milliman, Shane Hinson, Elva "Junior" Newsome, Zach Messer, Ken Fore and Bucky Smith serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
