Ms. Mamie "Edna" Thompson, age 63, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the local hospital. She was born February 27, 1961. She was preceded in death by her father Ray Miles, mother Clara Miles, brothers David Miles, James Miles, Charles Miles, sister Nona Faulk.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Tia Thompson of Dalton, GA, Michael and Susannah Thompson of Shelbyville, TN; grandchildren, Elle Thompson, Bryson Thompson, Isla Thompson, Talan Edwards, Paisley Edwards; brothers, Samuel Miles, George Miles, Robert Miles, Phillip Miles, Calvin Miles; sisters, Cora Miles, Ruby, Phyllis, Alice Miles; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Mamie "Edna" Thompson will be held Saturday September 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Riverbend Church of Christ with Pastor Barry Grider officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
