Mr. Malcolm Franklin Nix, Sr., age 84, of Chatsworth Georgia, departed this life Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Hamilton Medical Center. Malcolm was born June 3, 1933. He was preceded in death by his Wife of forty-four years, Martha Evelyn Nix. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: Malcolm Jr. and Fonda Nix of Clemmons, North Carolina; Ron Nix of Eugene, Oregon; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Services to celebrate the life of Malcolm Franklin Nix, Sr. will be held Saturday January 20, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. in the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The Dalton Post 112 of the American Legion will perform military graveside rites.
