You were the yin to my yang, my comfort, my happiness, and the beautiful face that greeted me after a hard day. You loved me unconditionally and brought sunshine into my life.

Of all the places you could have wandered, you walked into my yard one day and never left. Little did I know you would change my life forever.

You taught me that sometimes all we need is to stop, lift our faces toward the sun, close our eyes, and find a moment of peace in this chaotic world.

God is so very lucky to have your sunshine on the other side of the rainbow.

I hope when you lift your sweet face toward the sun now, you think of your momma and how very much she loves you.

Thank you for choosing me to be your momma, my beautiful boy. I thought I was saving you, but you were the one who saved me with your beautiful soul.

Run free, chase all the squirrels, and soak up every ray of sunshine.
