Ms. "Luz" Maria Burgos, age 44, of Dalton, Georgia, and formerly of Ellijay, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the local Dalton, Georgia hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Miami, Florida on August 20, 1974.  Luz was preceded in death by her father, Feliciano Burgos It was there in Miami that Luz attended North Miami High School during her younger years.  She was a member of the Rock Bridge Community Church in Dalton.  Luz was just a fun loving person, she had the perfect sense of humor and the wit to go along with the humor!  Luz had an excellent sense of humor that will be missed by so many.  She was packed full of useless knowledge, and loved trivial games.  Therefore, if you were playing a trivia game with Luz, you had to have her on your team in order to win.  She was a useless knowledge genius and could answer most silly trivia questions asked of her.   She was a huge Pittsburg Steeler fan. She will be missed dearly by those friends and family that admired and loved her so much.

Luz is survived by her loving family members including her daughter, Katie Martin of Lake Worth,, Florida; son, Nicholas Franco of Dalton; her mother, Betty Jean Trevillian of Lakeland, Flo sisters and brother-in-law, Frances and Heath Caylor, Kylie Caylor, and Aiden Caylor; several aunts and uncles, including Janice and Mike McNealy of Griffin, GA; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other friends and family survive Luz;

Private family services will be held on the weekend of November 23, 2018-November 25, 2018.  The family has expressed desire to keep the services very private.  Following the private family only services, Luz's wishes were to be cremated, which will be fulfilled.
