Mrs. Lula Jane Jones Martin, age 89, of Dalton, GA, departed this life, Thursday August 19, 2021 at the local hospital. She was born August 13, 1932 in Fannin County, GA, a daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Bessie Foster Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Leslie Holden, Gordon Martin, sons, William "Bill" Holden, Roger Lynn Holden, brothers, Clinton, Wildon and Wilburn Jones, sister, Ovie Baines, Wanda Sue Patterson, brothers-in-law, Homer McClure, Neal Sharp.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Marilyn Holden of Chatsworth, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Evelyn Jones of Dalton, GA; sisters, Oralee McClure, Aileen Sharp of Dalton, GA; grandsons, Billy Holden, Chase Holden, Shane Holden, Jeremy Holden; great granddaughter, Rosie Holden; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lula Jane Jones Martin will be held Sunday August 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Hedden officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and after 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Interment will be in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Billy Holden, Chase Holden, Shane Holden, Jeremy Holden, Wayne Jones, Chris Jones and Rusty Sharp will serve as pallbearers.

The family request everyone to wear a mask while in the building for visitation and funeral service.
