Ms. Lucy Annette Peters, of Tunnel Hill, GA, departed this life on June 20, 2015 at Memorial Health Care of Chattanooga, TN. Lucy was born April 15, in Dalton, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Haygood, mother and step father, Pearl and Frank Planzer Sr., husband, Ronald Peters, son, Ricky Peters, grandson, Russell Peters, granddaughter, Misty Peters, sister, Kathryn Johnson. She was employed at A and L Trucking in Ringgold, GA for the past thirty nine years.
She is survived by her fianc, David Leonard of Rocky Face, GA, sons and daughter-in-law, Terry and Herberetta Peters of Cohutta, GA, Stevie Peters of Seattle, WA; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and John McCoy of Tunnel Hill, GA; brother, Frank Planzer Jr. of Resaca, GA; sister, Lillian Underwood of Resaca, GA, grandchildren, Andrew Cudd, Jeremy McCoy, Heidi Peters, Zachary Peters; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lucy Annette Peters will be held Wednesday June 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Daniel Addis officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with David Addis, Chip Hackney, Lynn Hewitt, Zachary Peters, Bradley McCoy and John Russell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
