Mrs. Lucille Adkison Allen, age 87, of Fairmount, GA, departed this life, Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Lucille was born September 13, 1929, in Coffee County, AL, the daughter of the late, Kennie B. Adkison and Essie E. Danford Adkison. She was preceded by her husband of 67 years, Reverend Samuel Norris Allen; brother, Herbert Adkison. Lucille was a member of Cartersville Church of God of Prophecy.

Mrs. Lucille Adkison Allen is survived by her sons, Kenneth Allen of Fairmount GA, Kevin and Mary Allen of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Karen and Bill Willoughby of Marietta, GA; sister-in-law Carol Adkison of Marietta, GA, sister, Gerri and Buzz Thurston of Apoka, FL; loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Allen and her husband, Reverend Samuel Allen, served in ministry most of their married lives, pastoring numerous churches in Florida, Arizona and Georgia until her husband's retirement.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mattie Lucille Adkison Allen, will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cartersville Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. JA Martin, Rev. Anthony Cain and Rev. Billy Adams. Burial will follow at Georgia National Cemetery, Monday, December 19, 2016 at 12:00 noon.

The family will receive friends, Saturday December 17, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. at Cartersville Church of God Prophecy.
