Mrs. Louise Whitworth Watts, age 88, of Fairmount, Georgia, departed this life Friday morning, August 7, 2015 at the Gordon Hospital in Calhoun, Georgia. Louise was born August 8, 1926 in Atlanta, Georgia, the only child of Charlie E. and Mack Cole Whitworth. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Wells Watts in 2007, a son, Charles Martin Watts in 2013 and a sister-in-law, Willa Phillips.
Louise was a 1944 graduate of Girls High in Atlanta, Georgia. She retired from Atlanta Area Technical School after a twenty year career as an instructor and registrar. She was a member of the Fairmount First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Jeannie Eberhart of Marietta, GA, Ronnie and Angela Watts of Canton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Ann and Jim Cissom of Covington, GA; grandchildren, David and Belinda Eason, Steve Eason, Chris Eberhart, Allison Kennamer, Amy and Josh Day, Walter Watts and Tyler Watts; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary and C.J. Blalock of Calhoun, GA, John Watts of Ashville, NC; special friends, Joan Johnson and Sue Bell both of Fairmount, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Louise Watts will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Fairmount Chapel with Reverend Rick Langston officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Johnson Cemetery with her close friends and family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Fairmount Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 12:00 noon Sunday until the service hour.
