Mrs. Louise Lowery, age 89 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday August 24, 2015 at her home. She was born September 26, 1925 in Atlanta, Georgia, a daughter of the late Luther and Alice Byess Welch. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Lowery, son, James Ralph Lowery, great grandson, Brett Cross, brothers, MW "Dubb" Welch, Willard Welch, Willie Welch, sisters, Ilee Baggett, Ellie Mitchell, Prudie Conner.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Cross, Sandra Cross of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Tony Cross, Sherry Cross Warren, Amanda Cross, Olivia Bradshaw; ten great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Louise Lowery will be held Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
