Ms. Loretta Sue Ponders age 58 of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Monday January 7, 2019. She was born April 2, 1960 in Sweetwater, TN. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Arthur McKee, mother, Sylvia McDowell Wilson, grandson, Noah Phillips.

She is survived by her son, Brandon Paul Smith of Dalton, GA; grandson, Cody Smith of Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Debbie McKee of Chatsworth, GA, Eddie and Alex McKee of Tunnel Hill, GA, Mike McKee of Chatsworth, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Leon Fowler of Rocky Face, GA, Verda and John McHan of Dalton, GA, Cathy and Ray Southern of Tunnel Hill, GA, Jeany and Todd Whitten of Lafayette, GA; stepfather, Bill Wilson of Calhoun, GA; aunt, Nona Womble of Tellico Plains, TN; uncles, Joe Harris of Tellico Plains, TN, Clifford McKee of Dalton, GA, Stanley McKee of TN;  several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Loretta Sue Ponders will be held Wednesday January 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Eric Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Dunagan Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
