Mr. Lonnie Lewis Dewees, age 61, of Adairsville, Georgia, departed this life Monday, February 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 6, 1959 in McAlester, OK a son of the late Archie Thomas and Alice Emmaline Ross DeWees. He was also preceded in death by his companion, Julia Herring.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Danica and Jeff Bagley, Jessie and Danny Smith of Adairsville, GA; stepchildren, Chasity Grant of Adairsville, GA, Miranda and Paul Davis of Calhoun, GA, Alex Matlock of California; brother, Donald DeWees of Resaca, GA; sisters, Elizabeth Pullman of Oklahoma, Audrey Winton of Resaca, GA; grandchildren, Hali Smith, Jake Smith, Alli Reeves, Hewson Reeves, Jessie Smith, Danni Smith, Kayle Smith, Sara Belle Su, Rebecca Downer, Hannah Downer, Amalia Duis; nephew, Thomas Higgins; six great grandchildren.

At his request he will be  cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
