Mrs. Lona Mae Martin, age 67, of Chatsworth, GA, departed this life, December 5, 2015 at the local hospital. Lona was born September 27, 1948, in Dalton, GA. She was the daughter of the late Edd Bennett & Ruby Lee Cochran Bennett. Lona was also preceded in death by her husband, Terry Lynn Martin; brothers, Roy Lee Bennett, Tommy Bennett, and Melvin Bennett; sister, Brenda Coker. Lona was a former member of Cedar Valley Church of God.

Mrs. Lona Mae is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry & Melissa Martin of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Donna Mathis and Tony Massingill, of Dalton, GA; brothers, Richard Bennett of Dalton, GA; Billy Joe Bennett of Rocky Face, GA; sisters, Linda Hayes of Dalton, GA, Frances Rogers of Ellijay, GA, Loretta Akins of Chatsworth, GA, Barbara Land of Dalton, GA;
grandchildren, Felicia Williams, Chris Massingill, and Corey Martin; great-grandchildren, Haley Williams and Zach Williams.

The service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lona Mae Martin will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2:00p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Keith Bennett officiating, burial will follow at Dug Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 7, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Ponders Melrose Chapel.
