Mrs. Lola Odell Padgett Hudgins, age 79, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Monday afternoon, May 13, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 23, 1944 in Summerville, GA, a daughter of the late Dewey and Josephine Gentry Padgett. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Nix Hudgins, daughters Amy Hudgins, Larissa Hudgins, son Jimmy Dwayne Hudgins, brothers Charles Padgett, Jerry Padgett, Doyle Padgett, Hoyt Padgett, sisters Mildred White, Joyce Padgett, Mable Cundiff, daughter-in-law, Rita Hudgins.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Pat Hudgins, Johnathan Lee and Betty Hudgins of Dalton, GA, Jimmy and Phyllis Hudgins, Joey Hudgins of Rocky Face, GA, Roy Allen , Earl Starks of Dalton, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Ada Hudgins and Shane Cook of Tunnel Hill, GA, Mary Evelyn Huff of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; grandchildren, Josh and Candice Hudgins, William Silvers, Brandon and Ashley Silvers, Eric and Ashley Trosper, Derick Trosper, Vicky Gray, Becky Tucker, Sarah Blevins, Sammy Linder, Jeffrey Linder, Jeffery Stafford;  several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lola Odell Hudgins will be held Sunday May 19, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. from the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Josh Hudgins and Reverend Bobby Timms officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Josh Hudgins, Brandon Silvers, Joey Hudgins, Junior Silvers, Lucas Silvers an Michael Bohannon serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
