Obituary

Mrs. Lois Earlene Hayes, age 78, of Rocky Face, GA, passed away Wednesday September 21, 2016 at the local hospital. Lois was born on September 6, 1938 in Marion County, Tennessee a daughter to the late Marion and Millie Morgan Caldwell. She was also preceded by a sister Thelma Ray and brothers; Marion Caldwell Jr, Shirley Caldwell and Alfred "Pete" Caldwell. Lois was a member of Opportunity Baptist Church.

Lois is survived by her loving husband Haskel Douglas Hayes, a daughter and son in law; Debra and Don Tison of Alpharetta, GA, sons and daughter in law; Darryl Hayes of Rocky Face, GA, David and Brenda Hayes of Chatsworth, GA, Dewayne and Nesha Hayes of Dalton, GA. She is also survived by sisters; Doris Roberts of Tullahoma, TN, Velma McCreary of Sequatchie, TN, Bonnie Van Dyke of Jasper, TN brothers; Leslie Caldwell of Winter haven, FL, Jerry Caldwell of Stark, Fl. She had 8 grandchildren; Brandon Cross, Nathan Stinson, Sydney Matthews, Jonathan Hayes, Amber Hayes, Connor Hayes, Blake Hayes and Kylie Hayes and 1 great grandchild Jaxson Cross.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lois Earlene Hayes will be held Saturday September 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Ponders Melrose Chapel with pastor Charles Carnes officiating. She will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Family and friends serving as pall bearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00pm to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
