Mr. Lloyd Ernest Hill, age 84, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday afternoon, November 14, 2020 at the local hospital. He was born October 2, 1936 in Cedartown, GA, a son of the late Ora and Grace Shoemaker Hill. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Irene Turner Hill, daughter, Sharon Anderson, sister, Bertha Hill, brother-in-law, Charles Patterson.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Johnny Decker of Dalton, GA, Vickie and Robert Hampton of Chatsworth, GA; son-in-law, Tracy Anderson of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah and Clifford McCurdy of Dalton, GA, Ruby Patterson, Theresa and Jerry Shook of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, DeWayne and DaNae Holmes, Micheal and Stephanie Holmes, Brandon and Faith Brookshire, Brittney and Jason Pendergrass, Nicole and Chris Patterson, Aaron Decker; 13 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Lloyd Ernest Hill will be held Wednesday November 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Brian Branam and Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Jacob Holmes, Tyler Holmes, Micheal Holmes, DeWayne Holmes, Brandon Brookshire, and Aaron Decker serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
