Mrs. Linda Kate White, age 74, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Pruitt Health Care in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Linda was born May 24, 1949, in Copperhill, Tennessee.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne White, who died August 13, 2011, her father, Clarence William Colman, mother, Maxine Tankersley Carter, brothers, David Coleman and Wayne Coleman and a brother-in-law, Gary Blackmon.

She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, in Chatsworth, Georgia.

She is survived by a son, Steven Wayne Hood of Rocky Face, GA; daughters, Paula Angie Coleman of Chatsworth, GA, and Donna Ward of Columbus, GA; sister, Kathy Blackmon of Trion, GA;  brothers and sister-in-law, Allen and Jessica Coleman of Calhoun, GA, Roger Coleman of Rome, GA, and Cherrie Coleman of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Rita and Chris Hester, and Sandra Wells and Leroy Powell; great-grandchildren, Honor Price, Cadences Price, Kirsten Wells, Lee Powell, John Hester and Sarah Hester; uncle, Walter Tankersley of Farner, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Linda Kate White will be held Thursday morning, November 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at White Cemetery in Villanow, Georgia, with Bobby Wright, Damien Atkins, Brian Lynn, Gabe Watson, A.J. Greene and Robbie Watson honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023 and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning until the service hour.
