Mrs. Linda Diane Thompson, age 73, of Ambrose GA, formerly of Dalton departed this life Saturday morning May 9, 2020 at her home.  Linda was born September 14, 1946 in Gordon County, Georgia, a daughter of the late, Azile H. and Louise Shelton Jackson.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Clifton E. Heath in 1977 and her second husband, Reverend R. L. Thompson in 1991, her sisters, Mary Jordan, Maggie Silvers, Helen Jordan, and Nell Howell and her brothers, Fred Jackson, Barney Jackson and Robert Jackson.

Linda loved to make a garden and sit on the porch and bird watch.  She was honest to a fault and would go out of her way to help someone, no matter who they were.  She loved her family deeply.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dewayne and Pat Heath, Josh Heath all of Ambrose, GA, and Anthony Heath of Lafayette, GA; grandchildren, Anthony Andrew Heath and Natosha Heath; great-grandchildren, Julie, Jackson Ryan, Ada Sonny Heath, Tuff Heath, Ellie Grace Heath and Autumn LeeAnn Heath; sisters, Patricia Batton of Pearson, GA, and Barbara Cochran of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Linda Diane Thompson will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at New Zion Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her first husband at the church cemetery with Andrew Heath, Mark Collins, Jason George, Keith Cochran, _______and ______serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church after 12:00 p.m. Noon until the service hour.

Due to the Worldwide health crisis and Covid-19, crowd restrictions will be implemented.
