Mrs. Linda Louise Powell, age 70 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Monday March 23, 2015 at the local hospital. Linda was born May 29, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia, a daughter of the late Spence and Margaret Green Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Gene Powell, daughter, Judy Michelle Holloway, granddaughter, Whitney Way, brother, Marvin Thompson, sister, Marilyn Amerson.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Holloway Jr. and Diane Holloway of Thomaston, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Sandra Scites of Dalton, GA, Anita and Joe Porter of Fairburn, GA; brother, Kenneth Thompson of Thomaston, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Way, Stephanie Lee, Anthony Waller, Ricky Waller, Crystal Devires; ten great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

At her request she will be cremated at the Dalton Crematory and there will be no services held at this time.
