IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Rae
Gainor
August 26, 1940 – January 12, 2025
Ms. Linda Rae Gainor, age 84, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Quinton Memorial Nursing facility.
Linda was born August 26, 1940, in Des Moines, Iowa, daughter of the late Wanda Campbell Shields and Leonard Bradberry. She was also preceded in death by a son, Todd Eoff and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Eoff.
Ms. Gainor retired from Poly Pac after 35 plus years of employment as a secretarial administrative assistant where she made many life long friendships. She was lovingly referred to as "Big Nanny" and loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with her whole heart. She also was an avid animal lover and was often compared to Betty White and took it as a huge compliment. She loved life and enjoyed laughter with family and friends to the fullest. She had a huge heart, full of love and compassion for all and everyone that knew her, loved her. She will be missed by many but never forgotten. Her strong Christian faith never wavered and she said many times over that whenever Jesus was ready for her she was ready for him. Big Nanny always quoted the 91st Psalm: For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. Rest in peace our beloved Big Nanny until we are all together again.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Lisa and Chris Jennings of Rocky Face, GA; son, Lonnie Eoff and Tina Pankey of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Kristin and Drew Walraven of Calhoun, GA, Tori Cline of Ringgold, GA, Tanner Cline of Nashville, TN, and April Beal-Harrell of Tunnel Hill, GA; great-grandchildren, Harlow Walraven, Maisyn Walraven, Cline Easterly and Claira Easterly.
