Mrs. Linda Fay Choate, age 70, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Gordon hospital. She was born on December 27, 1943 in Calhoun, Georgia a daughter of the late Buddy Elrod and Hazel Sluder Ratcliff.

She is survived by her husband of twenty five years, Earnie Choate of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Fouts of Calhoun, GA, Randall Fouts of Resaca, GA, Raymond and Wilma Fouts of Calhoun, GA, Kevin and Stephanie Choate of Rome, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Billy Couch of Resaca, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Marcel Elrod of Chatsworth, GA; special uncle, Jim and Barbara Sluder of Nicklesville, GA; sisters-in-law, Wanda Howard of Chatsworth, GA, Judy Mitchell of Calhoun, GA; brother-in-law, Jessie Choate of Calhoun, GA; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two nieces.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Linda Fay Choate will be held Wednesday April 30, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Lamar Bearden officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery at Hall Memorial Baptist Church in Resaca, Georgia, with George Breeden, Troy Breeden, Ricky Lang, Ronnie Holbrook, Terry Holden, and Billy Mitchell serving as pall bearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and after 12:00 noon Wednesday until the service hour.
