Ms. Linda Ruth Black, of Sugar Valley, departed this life Monday evening, February 26, 2018 at Gordon Health Care Center in Calhoun, Georgia.Linda was born in Harvey, Illinois on November 29, 1958, a daughter of the late Paul Wesley and Helen Marie Myers Black.
She was most recently, prior to her health declining, employed by Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tennessee as an Ultrasound Technologist. She had obtained her associates degree from Coosa Valley Technical College. Linda was an animal lover and loved her dogs dearly. She loved to learn and read and every opportunity she had, there was a book in her hand. Linda had battled cancer for over eighteen years on and off. Her battle is finally at an end. At one point in her life, she lived abroad for several years.
At Linda's request she will be cremated. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
