Mrs. Linda Faye Bennett, age 75, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Friday afternoon, August 28, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 25, 1945 in Calhoun, GA, a daughter of the late Gus Tate and Frances Dutton Parker. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Powell.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jesse "Jes" Bennett of the residence; sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Cindy Dodd of Lyerly, GA, James Mark Bennett of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Deborah Lynn Dodd of Chatsworth, GA; brother, Bobby Tate of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Carol Bishop of Chatsworth, GA, Wanda Martin of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Kelsie and Brett Stepp, Kennedy Dodd; nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Linda Faye Bennett will be held Tuesday September 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
