Mrs. Lillian "Lucille" Fields Eleton age 84 of Eatonton, Georgia, formerly of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday August 27, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Lucille was born February 11, 1934 in Middletown, Ohio, to the late Elsie Brewer Fields and the late Denton Fields and was the middle of eleven children. Lucille was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Reverend Wayne Eleton, sisters, Betty Foster, Ernestine Davis, brothers, Troy, James, Vernon, David, and Darrell Fields and a son-in-law, John Sinclair.
Lucille is survived by her three children, Wayne T. Eleton of Norcross, GA, Jesse F. and Belinda Eleton of Lavonia, GA, Cassondra A. Sinclair of Eatonton, GA; sisters, Annabelle Thornsburg of Hamilton, OH, Brenda Brown of Monroe, GA, Gordon and Diane Fields of Hamilton, OH; eleven grandchildren, Lisa and Matt Runion of Cummings, GA, Eric Eleton of Gainesville, GA, Jesse C. and Alesha Eleton, Joshua and Allison Eleton, Zachary and Carrie Eleton all of Breman, GA, Mandy Souther of Myrtle Beach, SC, Michael and Kelly Swing of Lavonia, GA, Jerrod and Katie Crider of Lawrenceville, GA, Johnnie and Ashley Crider of Canton, GA, Victoria Sinclair of Eatonton, GA, thirteen great grandchildren and numerus nieces and nephews.
Lucille was a lifetime member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly, Inc. She enjoyed collecting bells, working puzzles, doing arts and crafts, puzzle books, reading, but mostly she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Lucille never wants anyone to leave her home hungry. Lucille enjoyed spending her morning in devotion on her back deck at her home on the lake. She loved the Lord, her family and friends with all heart. She was a true sister in Christ and she will be dearly missed.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lillian Lucille Fields Eleton will be held Friday August 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Church of God of the Union Assembly with Reverend Charlie Bell and Reverend Houston Eaton officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at West Hill cemetery with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 10:00 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
