Mrs. Leonor Atayde, age 85, of Dalton, GA, departed this life Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Erlanger Medical Center. She was born July 1, 1932 in Durango, Mexico a daughter of the late Emilio Atayde and Emilia Moreno. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Santillano, brother, Luis Atayde, sisters, Maria De Jesus Atayde, Maria Bernabe Atayde.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eligio and Maria Santillano of Ringgold, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Emilia and Edmundo Esquivel, Elvia and Ricardo Paez of Dalton, GA, Rosa Santillano of Chatsworth, GA; sixteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life service for Mrs. Leonor Atayde will be held Wednesday September 6, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Joel Chamberlain officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
