Mr. Leonard Dorcy Clayton, age 84, of Dalton, GA, departed this life, Friday March 13, 2020. He was born February 9, 1936 in Ellijay, GA a son of the late Frances and Julia Todd Clayton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Evelyn Stanley Clayton, brother, Robert Clayton, sister, Sandra Cox.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Brinda Clayton of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Scott Brown of Albertville, AL; grandchildren, Christopher and Alannah Clayton, Tabitha Clayton; great grandson, Jaxon Clayton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ben and Beverly Clayton of Cohutta, GA, Junior and Sheila Clayton of Calhoun, GA, Mike and Judy Clayton of Calhoun, GA; sister, Faye Stephens of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Leonard Dorcy Clayton will be held Monday March 16, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Junior Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
