Mrs. Lema I. Dugger, age 91, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday morning, April 28, 2014 at the Chatsworth Health Care. Lema was born February 2, 1923 in Gilmer County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Fred and Stella Cochran Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Floyd Dugger, sister, Zora Cochran, brothers, Odell Thompson, Sewell Thompson, Bill Thompson, grandsons, Jason Dugger and Gregory Dugger.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Chatsworth, GA.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Carolyn Dugger, George Dugger of Chatsworth, GA, Kenneth and Rosie Dugger of Georgetown, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Phil Demier of Dalton, GA; sister, Hazel Sandage of Dalton, GA; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lema I. Dugger will be held Wednesday April 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the Pine Grove Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
