Mr. Lawrence Edward Moorehead, Jr., age 68, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Calhoun Crossing of Journey Nursing Home. , Edward was born August 31, 1957, in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Lawrence Edward and Frances Geneva Land Moorehead, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Presley Haywood Moorehead and Jerry Emmett Moorehead and his grandparents, Ebenezer and Tisha Moorehead and Harlan and Lethy Land.He is survived by his sisters, Brenda Young and Cathy Moorehead both of Dalton, GA; brother, Johnny Moorehead of Calhoun, GA; sisters-in-law, Angie Moorehead of Dalton, GA, and Angela Moorehead of Calhoun, GA; several nieces and nephews.The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Calhoun Crossing for their care and support.The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026.Arrangements entrusted to: Ponders Calhoun Chapel 675 Jolly Road Calhoun, Georgia 30701 706-625-7577 www.selectedindependentfuneralhomes.org
