Mrs. Laura Mildred Bailey, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Sunday morning, November 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mildred was born June 22, 1933 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late, Lloyd and Ollie Belle Crow Foster. She was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Reverend Kenneth Bailey who died August 23, 2002, and a brother, Paul Foster. She was a member of City View Church of God.

Mildred loved to shop, eating out and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very dignified, classy and honest lady and was loved by everyone.

She was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to all.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Danny and Laura Bailey, Terry Bailey all of Dalton, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Brenda Holcomb, Danae and Joseph Head of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Jada Bailey, Keith Bailey, Casey Bailey, Carrie Bailey, Christen White, Bailee Garcia, Karlee Head, McKenzie Head and Lisa Head; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mildred Bailey will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at City View Church of God with Reverend David Mathis and her nephew, Reverend Gerald Foster officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the West Hill Cemetery with Davis Head, Damon Snow, Jerry Barnard, Jacob Gregg, Hunter Stewart and Braiden Welch serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour.
