Mr. Larry Gene Wimpey, age 71, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life, Saturday November 7, 2020 at the local hospital. He was born January 19, 1949 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Howard and Pauline Shoemaker Wimpey. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Oscar and David Wimpey, sister, Paulette Wimpey.

He is survived by his sons, Christopher Wimpey of Chatsworth, GA, Benjamin Wimpey of Tunnel Hill, GA, Zachary and Nina Wimpey of Rocky Face, GA; daughter, Haley Silvers of Tunnel Hill, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and David Hedden of Ellijay, GA, Phyllis and Sam Palmer of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Hall, Lindsey Wimpey, Trey Wimpey, Taylor Wimpey, Kylee Silvers.

Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry Gene Wimpey will be held Tuesday November 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the West Hill Cemetery with Dr. Sam Palmer officiating.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
