Mr. Larry Eugene Ward, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Thursday morning, December 11, 2014 at the local hospital. Larry was born September 23, 1944 in the Keith Community of Catoosa County, Georgia, a son of the late, Fred Chester and Margaret Evelyn Clark Ward. He was also proceeded in death by his brother, William "Bud" Ward, sister, Willie "Boots" Ruth Ward.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Willie Ruth Ward of the home; son, Mike Ward; daughters, Angie and Larry Fowler, Tammy Roach; April Ward, Lucky and Patrick Miolen; grandchildren, Megan Ward, Michael Ward, Melanie Fowler and Timothy Roach; sister, Jewel Boling; three special young men, Daniel Hawkins, Bailey Tulloss, and Peyton Tulloss, whom he took great pride in help raising: several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry Eugene Ward will be held Saturday afternoon, December 13, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the United Memorial Gardens with Rev. Alfred Turley officiating. Michael Ward, Larry Fowler, Patrick Miolen, Derrick Hobbs, Daniel Hawkins and Daniel Boling will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday December 13, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. noon until 3:30 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel.
