Mr. Larry Anderson McBrayer, age 72, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the local hospital surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born April 4, 1944 in Chattanooga, TN a son of the late Logan and Dora McBrayer. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and David McBrayer. Larry proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam and received the Bronze Star. He was a loving husband, father and brother.

He is survived by his wife of 47years, Linda Ann Parson McBrayer of the residence; sons, Scott McBrayer, Brian McBrayer of Calhoun, GA; brother, Logan McBrayer of Rocky Face, GA; sisters, Martha McCarver of Montgomery, AL, Betty Prescott of Cleveland, TN, Terry McBrayer of Chatsworth, GA; nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry Anderson McBrayer will be held Friday December 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Billy Parson officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
