Mr. Larry Randall Holsomback Sr., age 69,of Dalton, Georgia, went home to be with Jesus Thursday morning, August 20, 2015 at Erlanger Health Care East in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Larry was born December 21st, 1945 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Joe Arvil and Carrie Hester Laster Holsomback. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Lee Holsomback, a sister, Jane Cook and a very special friend, Reverend George Nicholson. Larry was a 1965 graduate of Valley Point High School and was employed at Mohawk Industries for the past thirty-five years. He was a member of Cove Baptist Fellowship Church where he was the pianist. Larry was opinionated, honest, good hearted, was a jokester and loved "cutting up". He was always smiling and loved his family unconditionally.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-six years, Juanita Campbell Holsomback; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Ann and Terry Stone of Dalton, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry R. and Lana Holsomback, Jr. of Tunnel Hill, GA, Kevin Holsomback of Dalton, GA, Jeremy Alan and Tina Holsomback of Cohutta, GA; grandchildren, Eric, Jessica, Justine, Larry, III,(Trey), Kayla, Josh, Cody, Tamarah, Jacob, Jennifer, Allison and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kylie, Conan, Shadow, Lana and K.J.; brothers, Wayne Holsomback of Villanow, GA, and Jerry Holsomback of Hapeville, GA; sisters, JoAnn Jones of Dalton, GA, Sue Davis of Atlanta, GA, Carrie Ann Holsomback of Dalton, GA, and Charlotte Maynard of Louisa, KY; daughter-in-law, Anita Curtis Holsomback several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and special friends
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry Randall Holsomback will be held Saturday morning, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bo Carnes, Larry Brock and George Bryant officiating. He will be laid to rest at Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Wayne Holsomback, Kevin Holsomback, Jake Holsomback, Jody Holsomback, Trey Holsomback, Joshua Holsomback and Eric Stone serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the service hour.
