Mr. Larry Wayne Hicks, age 75, of Rocky Face, Georgia, peacefully entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at his residence.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 25, 1950, Larry was the son of the late Raymond and Juanita Watkins Hicks. He was also preceded in death by his beloved sisters and brother-in-law, Vicki and Eddie Goss and Donna Hicks.

Larry was known as a good, faithful, and loyal man who worked hard throughout his life to provide for those he loved. He was just a good man. Family meant everything to him, and he was always present, dependable, and supportive. A devoted Christian, Larry placed his trust in the Lord when he was 45 years old and lived his life guided by his faith. Larry proudly served his country as a sergeant in the United States Army, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 39 years, Stella "Dyann" Whitmire; his cherished daughters, Stacie and Mitchell Moss of Chatsworth, Georgia, Brandi Weaver of Chatsworth, Georgia, Beth and Brent Davis of Chatsworth, Georgia, Rebecca and Adam Thomas of Resaca, Georgia, and Mary and Bradley Dunn of Rocky Face, Georgia; brother, Ronnie and Linda Hicks of Dalton, Georgia; sister, Beverly Hall of Atlanta, GA, Georgia; and his adored grandchildren, Austen and Kailee Horn, Allison and Ross Davis, Carson Weaver, Chandler Thomas, Cameron Thomas, Carter Thomas, Kalia and Sam McKenzie, Cassi and Neal Cochran, Bubba Thomas, and Sissy Thomas, Marlee Dunn, Braxton Davis, Bayleigh Davis

Larry was a proud great-grandfather to Branson Webb, Rosemary McKenzie, Jack Adam McKenzie, Clementine McKenzie, Raelynn Cochran, and Cole Cochran, and he joyfully awaited the arrival of two additional great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Chris Tarvin and Reverend Thomas officiating. He will be laid to rest United Memorial Gardens with Austen Horn, Chandler Thomas, Cameron Thomas, Carter Thomas, Carson Weaver, Shawn McCoy will be serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until service hour.
