Mr. Larry J. Evans, age 80, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, May 9, 2024 at his residence. He was born November 16, 1943 in Commerce, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his stepson Michael Patrick Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Evans of the residence; brother, Ralph Evans; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Carter, Carolyn and Buddy Masters all of Commerce, GA; sister-in-law, Martha Callahan of Dalton, GA.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry J. Evans will be held Tuesday May 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Ponders Murray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
