Mrs. Kimi Holmes, age 65 of Dalton, Georgia departed this life, Sunday September 11, 2022 at the local hospital. Kimi was born in Sweetwater, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Artis and Beatrice Reed Charles. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Christa Holmes and sister, Jean Julian. Kimi was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. In her spare time she loved to craft.

Kimi is survived by her husband, Rick Holmes, they would have celebrated their 48 ^th wedding anniversary this December. She is also survived by her daughter, Zan Holmes Smith of Dalton, Georgia; step-brother, Tom Charles; grandchildren, Wyatt Smith, Ivy Smith and Rosie Smith.

Service to celebrate the life of Kimi Holmes will be held Wednesday September 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Ron Runyon officiating. She will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday September 13, 2022 at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
