Mr. Kenneth M. Harris, age 72, of Resaca, GA, departed this life, Thursday January 14, 2016 at the local hospital. Kenneth was born December 13, 1943, he was the son of Mr. Joe Harris and Dorothy Daniels Harris. Kenneth was a graduate of Valley Point High School and very involved with the Valley Point Alumni Association.

Mr. Kenneth M. Harris is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Harris; sons, Ken Harris of Resaca, GA, Greg Harris of Donalsonville, GA, Bryan an Jennifer Harris of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Pat and Ray Miolen of Ringgold, GA, Eleanor Gillian of Rocky Face, GA, JoAnn and Dewey Cavender of Dalton, GA, Margaret and David Smith of Chatsworth, GA; grand-children, Megan Williams, Brynn Harris and Mariah Harris; great-grandchildren, Haiden Williams and Sophie Williams, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Kenneth M. Harris, will be held Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 3:00 p.m., from the chapel of Valley Brook Church of God, 1474 Mineral Springs Road, Dalton, GA, with the Rev. Junior Clayton officiating. Burial will follow the service at United Memorial Gardens, with Danny Padgett, Jordan Williams, David Cavender, Daniel Cavender, Terry Miolen, Malcom Gillian, David Smith and Dale Landon serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers, Mike Lau, Oliver Maeger and Tony Morrison.

The family will receive friends Saturday January 16, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel.
