Mr. Kenneth Eugene Dyer, age 73, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the local hospital. Kenneth was born March 4, 1941 in Fannin County, Georgia, a son of the late Poley and Nola Ash Dyer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Laura Ann Dyer, brothers, Richard Dyer, Charlie Dyer, J.B. Dyer, sisters and brother-in-law, Marie and Calvin Postell, Ruby and Howard McDaniels.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Lester Howard of Chatsworth, GA, Juanita and Jackie Carlock, Crystal and Jamie Venable of Dalton, GA, Lisa Land of Chatsworth, GA, Sandra Quillen of McKinsey, TN; son and daughter-in-law, David and Christina Land of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Duford and Pat Dyer of Florida, Wilburn and Betty Dyer of Chatsworth, GA, sister-in-law, Chris Dyer of South Georgia; seventeen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Kenneth Eugene Dyer will be held Thursday October 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
