Mr. Kenneth Ernest "Pete" Crider, age 72, of Dalton, Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Saturday evening, July 30, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Pete was born March 25, 1944 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Sam and Willie Crider. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Kathrine Slaton and brothers, Joseph, Richard and Lamar Crider and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wimber Odell and Ruby Mae Thompson; grand-daughter, Ashley Smith.

Pete was retired from Pilgrim's Pride and was a member and deacon of Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church.

Pete is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Shelia Crider of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Scott Dale, Shelia and Don Roe all of Chatsworth, GA; son, Kenneth Crider of Oneida, TN; grandchildren, Tishia King of Ringgold, GA, Keith and Allana Stancill of Dalton, GA, Devin Crider of Lily, KY, Chris Green of Chatsworth, GA, Sam Crider and Isaac Crider both of Oneida, TN, Pam and Lee Harris of Chatsworth, GA, Brittany and Steven Hobbs all of Chatsworth, GA, Staci and Taylor Mink of Woodstock, GA; great-grandchildren, Georgia and Ella King of Ringgold, GA, Aspen Tipton-Williams, Bryan Stancill both of Dalton, GA, Kierston, Kimberly and Katlynn Keefer, Hunter Cantrell all of Chatsworth, GA, Zach and Kara Harris of Dalton, GA, Elin and Bode Hobbs of Chatsworth, GA, and Caroline Mink of Woodstock, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Erwin and Sigrid Crider of Rocky Face, GA, Charles and Kay Crider of NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry Thompson of Dalton, GA, Amy and Bobby Phillips of Rocky Face, GA, Carol Nations, Ruby Jones both of Chatsworth, GA, Bud and Debbie Thompson of Ponchatoula, LA, Roger Thompson, Buster and Jeannie Thompson all of Jefferson, LA, and Geneva Crider of Rocky Face, GA; several nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Kenneth Ernest "Pete" Crider will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald Guffey, Reverend Robert Beavers and Reverend Willie Ollis officiating. He will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery with Billy Jones, Marty Pendergrass, Randy Bates, Greg Boyd, Bruce Brock and Scott Brock serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Keith Stancill, Devin Crider, Chris Green, Sam Crider, Isaac Crider, Hunter Crantell and Zach Harris.

The family will receive friends at Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday August 1, 2016.
