Mr. Kenneth Michael "Mike" Furgerson, age 63, of Tunnel Hill, GA, passed away Wednesday September 21, 2016 at his residence. Mike was born July 1, 1953 in LaGrange, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sadie Deason Furgerson. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church. Mike was an avid cyclist and participated in several 100-mile bike rides, two of which were after his initial diagnosis.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Furgerson of Tunnel Hill, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Stacey Furgerson of Cape Coral, FL; daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Jamie Steinmeyer of Cape Coral, FL, Christy and Josh Boswell of Wahiawa, HI; father, Kenneth Furgerson of LaGrange, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Byron Lee of LaGrange, GA; grandchildren, Ashley Kennedy, Gabriella Boswell, Jasper Boswell, Abagail Furgerson, Kylee Furgerson, Caleb Furgerson.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Kenneth Michael "Mike" Furgerson will be held Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday September 27, 2016 in the Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens in Ft. Myers, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action National Office 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Ste. 200 Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
