Mrs. "Katie Ann" Allison Swinney age 65 of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at her home. She was born October 24, 1960 in Milledgeville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father Sidney Young Allison, stepfather Robert Paul Wooten, son Daniel Swinney. She was a member of McFarland Hills Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tim Swinney of the residence; mother, Margaret Teasley Wooten of Dalton, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kacey Bailey of Chatsworth, GA; daughter and son-in-law,  Allison and Joe Hufstetler of Plainville, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Sylvia Wooten of Florida; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shawnee and Carlton Williams of Forsyth, GA, Connie and Dave Ferguson of Dalton, GA, Pat Hemphill of Auburn, AL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Billy and Vickie Swinney, Mary and Tommy Holland of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Zach Hufstetler, Gage Hufstetler, Dylan Chastain, Gracie Hufstetler, Pierce and Reagan Bailey, and Ezra Bailey; nieces and nephews; special friend Rochelle Oxford.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. "Katie Ann" Allison Swinney will be held Sunday January 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend George Ashburn and Reverend Charles Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Zach Smith, Todd Brown, John Swinney, Tommy Holland, Joe Hufstetler and Zach Hufstetler serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
