Ms. Kathy Lynn Young Burns, age 61, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Friday, January 12, 2024, at her residence in Chatsworth, Georgia. She was born May 15, 1962, in Cartersville, Georgia, a daughter of the late Earl and Gertrude Cansler Young. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Barry Burns, sister, Brenda Sue Potts.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, David and Rita Whitfield of Chatsworth, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Justin Long of Rydal, GA; brother, Ricky Young of Rydal, GA; sisters, Bobbie Jo Goldman of Kingston, GA, Darlene Neal of Rydal, GA, Betty Jo Fronebarger of White, GA; grandchildren, Anthony Whitfield, Charyden Whitfield, Lane Hall, Bayli Carpenter, Cierra Carpenter, Shane Coffey, Zack Coffey, Delaney Coffey; great grandchild, Braylynn; nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held Saturday January 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Stamp Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Corey Martin officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
