Mrs. Kathy Ann Burchfield, age 64, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, September 30, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 2, 1953 in McCreary County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Huger and Wilda Watson Waters. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Clinton Waters, Roger Waters, special uncles, Rob Watson, Charlie Clark.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Carlie M. Burchfield of the residence; her children, Patrick Burchfield and Linda Baggett; Carla Burchfield and Ramey Hazelwood of Tunnel Hill, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leamon and Sue Waters of Resaca, GA, Pete Waters and Mary Mchale, Ronnie and Ronetta Waters, Bruce and Mattie Waters; sisters and brother-in-law, Sandra Cothran, Sharon and Ron Moore, Kloey Waters all of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Patricia Burchfield, Lynda Burchfield, Charlie Burchfield, Robert Burchfield; best friend, Deborah Macon of Columbus, GA; her special church family at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kathy Ann Burchfield will be held Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
