Kathleen (Kat) Ellen Kinsey Sisson, 81 of Dalton, departed this life on June 15th, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 1st, 1944 to the late Lizzie and Reece Kinsey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charlie, in 2022 and her family takes comfort in knowing that they are finally together again. Also preceding her in death were two children, Wayne Sisson and Deb Chambers; siblings and their spouses, Joe and Sue Kinsey, Ben and Nell Kinsey, Jean and JT Dunn, Chris and David McClure, Cheryl Kinsey; brothers and sisters in-law, Herman and Betty Stanley, Bobby Sisson, Johnny and Frankie Sisson, Gary and Brenda Sisson, and Danny Patterson.

Cherishing her memory are her daughters and their spouses, Tracie and Chris Puchta, and Tonya and Shaun Scott; Grandchildren, Adam Cross, Zach Hall, Shaw Scott, Emilee Puchta, Jocellen Puchta, Leigha and Trevor Silvers; Great grandson, Kadence Hall; Sister, Loraine (Toot) and Leonard Davis; Brothers, Hoyt and Jane Kinsey, Randy Kinsey, Donnie and Sheila Dunn; Sister-in-law, Carolyn Patterson; Cat, Sienna; Special friends, Elvia and Rogelio Rodriguez.

Kat was a loving mother who enjoyed doing things for and with her children and grandchildren and will be missed deeply.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel on Thursday, June 18th from 5-9pm. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 19th at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay, Georgia.
