Mrs. Kathleen "Kathy" Hightower, age 78, of Rocky Face, Georgia departed this life on Sunday December 15, 2013 at the local hospital. Kathy was born August 16, 1935 in Etowah, TN a daughter of the late Ernie and Odean Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her son, J.D. Parrish, grandson, Adam Baker, brother, Buddy Thomas, sister, Doris Jean "Susie" Maples.

She is survived by her children, Ricky and Linda Parrish of Eton, GA, Kathy and Cisco Uherhewar of San Antonio, TX, Thomas and Shelia Parrish of Rocky Face, GA, Regina and Jack Crouch of Bridgeport, AL, Michael and Loria of Niota, TN; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Blackwell of Dalton, GA; life partner, Riley Green of Rocky Face, GA; eleven nieces, eight nephews, and a lot of other family and friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kathleen "Kathy" Hightower will be held Wednesday December 18, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Prospect Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
