Mr. Junior McArthur Sexton, age 71, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday evening, at the local hospital. Junior was born September 1, 1942 in Whitesburg, Kentucky a son of the late Corbin and Myrtle Sexton. He was also preceded in death by his step-son, Travis Chadwick, brothers, Jack and Denver Sexton. He proudly served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Sexton of Chatsworth, GA; son, Jeff Sexton of Kentucky; stepdaughter, Amanda Emmert of Cleveland, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lloyd and Mary Sexton of Connecticut, Harold and Linda Sexton, Paul Sexton, Estel Sexton, Stanley Sexton all of Kentucky; sister and brother-in-law, Stella and Carl Hamby of North Carolina; grandchildren, Garrison, Danaka, Ricky, Brittany, Chris, and Morgan; three great grandchildren; special friends, Raymond and Elizabeth Qualls and family of Chatsworth, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Junior McArthur Sexton will be held Saturday January 4, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with George Cross officiating. Interment will follow in the Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The American Legion Post 112 in charge of graveside rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday.
